Fronka China Launch Project with Fudan MBA iLab
06/15/2021, Singapore
China has grown to the second largest economy in the world, and it’s destined to remain an engine of global growth for the next decade. In its 13th & 14th Five-Year-Plan, the Chinese Government addressed to step up support for innovation of application material through increased funding. We can see new materials standards are being formulated more quickly, and early phase research on strategic cutting-edge materials (superconductors, nanomaterials, graphene) is also speeding up.
Fronka, as a company aiming to empower Nanomaterial Development by providing easy integrated characterization solutions, is keen to understand what Chinese nanomaterial scientists or industry need and how to best serve the markets.
In this context, we partnered with MBA of Fudan University, one of the most prestigious and selective universities in China, to conduct a joint research project to analyze the China market with regard to Fronka’s offering (products & services).
Through the project, the management team of Fronka quickly learn about the business practices in China and connect with potential users to get their advice. With these references, the joint team created a solid market access plan which addresses customers’ interest, as well as some inspirations on product development.
Fronka and our core product FR1000 Nano Semiconductor Workstation hope to connect with more users and partners in China in this post-pandemic future!
Fronka Project Selected as Finalist in 15th "Chunhui Cup"
12/13/2020, Singapore
On December 12th 2020, the 15th Chunhui Cup Chinese Overseas Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (Singapore Division) Awarding Ceremony was held online, with more than 60 participants including the Education Counselor of Chinese Embassy in Singapore, entrepreneurial mentors, representatives of award-winning projects and overseas students from various universities.
Chunhui Cup, organised by the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Science and Technology, China, has been held for over 15 years and it’s the biggest innovation and entrepreneurship competition for Chinese overseas students.
Among hundreds of projects, only 14 from Singapore were awarded, including Fronka.
Dr Guo Rui, CEO of Fronka, delivered a 5-min speech as representative of the competition winner and later introduced the award-winning product, FR1000 Nano Semiconductor Workstation.

Entrepreneurial mentors speak highly of Fronka and our product. Dr. Gu Haiwen, Research Director of China-Singapore International Joint Research Institute, commented that the quality and matureness of FR1000 Nano Semiconductor Workstation is quite high.
Fronka would like to especially thank the Education Office of Chinese Embassy in Singapore, for the opportunities and great guidance along with the Chunhui Cup Competition. The recognition from the government greatly encourages us on this wonderful and rewarding “road to challenges” and “road to innovation”.
Fronka in SFF x SWITCH 2020
12/12/2020, Singapore
Fronka is delighted to be part of the 2020 SFF x SWITCH that provides us a great opportunity to showcase our patent technology on easy integrated characterization (FR1000) and connect with potential investors and customers globally.
During the event, Fronka CEO, Dr.Guo was invited to pitch more details on how the innovative solution FR1000 Nano Semiconductor Workstation empowers nanomaterial development, from research expedition to industrial impacts.
For researchers, FR1000 Nano Semiconductor Workstation integrates the state-of-art capabilities of material growth, device fabrication, and characterization together under one ultra-high vacuum environment. All wafers/samples can be transferred accurately, quickly and smoothly to avoid oxidation & contamination. It helps to boost research efficiency by lowering down experiment fail rate and shortening research time.
For Semiconductor industry, it’s of great need for new materials in post–Moore’s law era. Expediting nanomaterial research means we can simplify and shorten the development process from fundamental research to industrial applications of nano-scale materials.
As an explorer in the field of Nanomaterial Development, with inspiration from the SWITCH community, Fronka will continue to spare no effort to innovate pragmatically and to better serve our R&D users.
